WATER DAMAGE PREVENTER

FOR HOT WATER HEATING SYSTEM

Almost all hot water heating systems experience minor water loss over the course of a heating season. These losses occur through air vents, threaded joints, pump flanges, valve stem packings, etc. If water either manually or automatically is not systematically added to the system, the system pressure will drop and this will make the system non-operatable.

To maintain proper pressure in the hot water heating system, the Pressure Reducing Valve is often used. This can be a liability. If the hot water heating system develops a leak, the Pressure Reducing Valve will continuously feed water into the system. Should this leak go undetected, the same water will continuously leak out from the system and can considerably damage the building.

The Water Express™, a simple new device, is a very effective remedy for these problems.

The WATER EXPRESS™ prevents major water damage to the building!

The WATER EXPRESS™ maintains the required pressure within the hot water heating system by using the system Pressure Reducing Valve!

The heating system including the Water Express™ tank is initially filled with water by opening the by-pass valve. The by-pass valve is kept closed when the system is in operation.

As some air or water is expelled from the system through air vents, threaded joints, etc. during normal system operation, the diaphragm, pushed by household water, flexes against the system water. This forces the system water from the tank into the system to make up for the lost volume, thus maintaining the pressure in the system set on the Pressure Reducing Valve.

In the event of a leak in the heating system, the diaphragm does not allow feeding of household water into the system, thus limiting the leakage to the limited quantity of the system water only.
